Notebooks

A notebook is the item most often kept after an event, which is why it carries a logo well. The range here splits into three broad types. Hardcover journals, led by Moleskine and the Karst stone paper A5, give a firm writing surface and a cover that holds a clean decoration. Soft and stitched notebooks such as the Moleskine cahier journal are lighter and suit large conference runs. Recycled and certified paper options, including the VINGA One memory a day journal, the Baltimore GRS paper and PU book and the Bosler recycled canvas notebook, fit companies that report on material sourcing.

Choosing a format

Format follows use. A5 is the default for meetings and training, since it takes a full page of notes and still fits a laptop bag. A6 works as a pocket book for sales teams and trade fairs. B5 suits desk work and longer writing sessions. After the size, look at the cover material, because it decides how the logo will look: PU gives a smooth, even surface, canvas and cotton have a visible weave, cardboard reads as plain and unfussy, and stone paper has a distinctive smooth feel. Ruled, plain or dotted pages, an elastic closure and a ribbon marker are worth checking against how the recipient will actually use the book.

Decoration and ordering

PU covers take screen print for solid colour, foil stamping for a metallic finish, or debossing for a quiet, tone on tone mark. Canvas and cotton covers are normally screen printed. Paper and cardboard covers can be printed directly, and inside pages can carry a printed first page or a repeated footer if you want the branding to appear beyond the cover.

Orders start from ten pieces per model. Branding is part of the item price with no setup fee, production runs from five working days once artwork is approved, and samples are available in two to three days.
