An A5 hardcover notebook printed on stone paper, a tree-free material made from roughly 80 percent mineral powder bound with 20 percent non-toxic HDPE. It holds 64 sheets, 128 pages, of 58 gsm white lined stone paper, and the cover is stone paper as well. The surface is velvety and unusually smooth to write on.

The material difference is measurable rather than cosmetic. Conventional wood pulp paper production uses water and bleach; stone paper uses neither. A notebook of this size in traditional paper would consume around 2770 litres of water in production, and this one uses none. Two percent of proceeds from each Impact product sold goes to Water.org.
