The magnetic 15W pad holds a compatible phone upright at an angle you can still read, which makes it as useful for a video call as for overnight charging.

A second 5W pad on the back charges another phone or a set of earbuds, and a dedicated watch charger powers recent Apple Watch generations, so one item replaces three cables on a desk or nightstand.
