XD Design rebuilt the classic tote in recycled material for the Renew range. Both the fabric and the webbing come from recycled plastic bottles, and the result keeps the familiar shape while dropping the reliance on virgin polyester. Dimensions are 28 by 12.7 by 38.1 centimetres, a practical everyday format.

Storage is thought through rather than left as one open sack. A front slash pocket takes a phone, a ticket or a transit card on the move, the large main compartment closes with a zip so nothing spills on a crowded commute, and interior zipped pockets keep valuables separated from the rest of the load. The bag carries an AWARE Virtual ID and product passport: scanning the QR code inside gives a traceable record of the textile composition and its impact from origin to consumer, which is a far stronger claim than a printed label.
